YOUTH

ENCOUNTER

We love spending extended times in God's presence through worship and prayer because we know that in the midst of a busy life when we set everything else aside to worship we begin to encounter God and he leads us by his love.

TRANSFORM

We value accountability and vulnerability when we do discipleship, because we know this leads to change in our lives. We want to continually transform into people of integrity, compassion, and joy just like Jesus.

ENCOUNTER

When we know something is really good we can't hold back telling people about it! We believe that with the Holy Spirit's help we can share what it means to be Jesus followers through our loving words and actions to those around us. It's naturally supernatural.

SUNDAYS

After some worship at the 10:45 am service secondary school and sixth form students head upstairs to the Upper Hall for bible study. We'll read a passage, get a little historical context, then split into discussion groups. In these groups we'll try to think of how to apply what we've heard to our lives. After we pray for one another, we will play a game and finish at about 12:30.

4:30pm

We have a new 4:30pm service which is a great opportunity for youth to gather with their friends. It's an informal service which involves an opportunity to worship and pray together and hear a short talk.

HUNGRY
Midweek group for yrs 7-9

Hungry is a small group for any youth in years 7-9 with dinner, bible study and games. We meet every week, in a home on Thursday’s at 5:30pm. If you are interested in joining for dinner and bible study please contact us.

DEEPER
Midweek group for yrs 10-13

Deeper is a small group for any youth in years 10-13 who are wanting to dig deeper into the bible, prayer, and community. This is hosted every week, in a home on Thursday’s at 7pm. If you are interested in joining for dinner and bible study please contact us.

All of the team who lead and help at Barnabas Youth are fully DBS checked. Before joining the team you will have to go through a full DBS check. A summary of our safeguarding policy can be viewed if you click here.
